Day By Day

Colombia
Ecuador

Day 1 – Arrive in Medellin / Transfer to Hotel/ Half tour of Comuna 13 (Private)

Welcome to Medellin, Colombia

At the airport, you will be greeted by a member of our team and transferred to your selected hotel, where he will assist you with the registration process (check-in). Join us on an exciting tour through the history and present of Medellín and learn more about the transformation of this fascinating metropolis.

Day 2 – Guatapé & Peñol Boulder

The Peñol Boulder is one of the most spectacular destinations in the surrounding area of Medellín. Enjoy breathtaking views over the stunning surroundings full of green mountains and blue lakes.

The village of Guatapé is famous for its church and its beautiful, colorful paintings that decorate the houses of the village. On this day trip we will take you on a scenic drive through the Eastern Highlands of Antioquia. You can climb the Peñol Boulder, enjoy a delicious typical Colombian lunch on the waterfront of the Guatapé reservoir, explore the lake on a boat ride and take time to stroll and relax.

Today’s itinerary includes lunch with a set menu, speedboat ride and all entrance fees.

Day 3 -Transfer Hotel to Airport/ Flight to Cartagena

Today, your journey continues to Cartagena.

Our transfer service will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport for flight to Cartagena! Once at the airport, the guide will assist you with the registration procedure at your airline’s counter.

Upon arrival at the Rafael Núñez Airport, our representative will meet you and take you to your hotel. Our guide will assist you at the hotel with the registration procedures.

Please note that if the flight departs between 10 pm and 8 am, we will apply an additional charge per person.

Day 4 – Private Guided City tour + Monuments of Cartagena

The tour begins with a visit to the Pope Monastery Convento de la Popa, where the city’s highest point is located, and you can enjoy the best view of the beautiful city of Cartagena.

Later, you’ll explore the San Felipe de Barajas Castle Castillo de San Felipe, an imposing fortress known for its intricate tunnel system. Your tour concludes with a walk through Las Bóvedas, an 18th century military vault or battery turned tourist attraction, lined with stalls selling art, jewelry, clothing, and souvenirs.

Day 5 - Rosario Islands - Majagua

Venture beyond the walls of Cartagena and experience the beauty of Isla Grande, one of the many islands located in the Rosario Islands. Situated approximately 30 miles from the city, the Rosario Islands are an archipelago composed of coral reefs with small white sandy beaches and crystal-clear Caribbean waters. These waters beckon you to marvel at the abundant marine life.

Take time to unwind on the quaint beach, embark on a leisurely island stroll, enroll in a diving course to explore the coral reefs, swim, or indulge in a relaxing massage session.

The day-use fee at San Pedro de Majagua covers a shared motorboat transfer, towel service (one per person), a welcome fruit punch, and a traditional lunch with a set menu.

At the end of the tour, you will visit the “Iglesia y Convento San Pedro de Claver”; this convent was founded in the early 17th century by San Ignacio de Loyola. This baroque church has an imposing stone facade, and inside, there are fine stained-glass windows and a high altar made of Italian marble.

All entrance fees are included.

Please note that pregnant women and pets are not allowed on the boat.

Day 6 - Transfer hotel to airport + guide

Our guide will meet you at the lobby of the hotel and will take you to the Rafael Núñez Airport. We will assist you at the airport during the check-in at the airline counter to help you connect to your next destination.

Day 6 - Private Transfer Quito Airport / Hotel

Welcome to Quito, Ecuador! At the airport, you will be greeted by a member of our team who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel. During the ride, you will receive a brief introduction of Quito and Ecuador along with valuable information regarding your stay in the country.

Day 7 - Quito + Middle of the World Tour

Quito’s Historic Center – the largest and best-preserved Colonial Quarter in South America – is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On this day, we will take a stroll through

the Independence Plaza, which itself is flanked by the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the Municipal Building, and the Archbishop’s Palace.

After that, we will visit the La Compañia de Jesús Church and admire its gilded interior before continuing onwards to the San Francisco Church and Convent – one of the largest architectural structures within a historic center in the Americas. Its impressive façade and atrium lead into its equally impressive Baroque interior.

Afterward, you’ll head to the Middle of the World and get to place both feet on each side of our planet’s equator!

At the end of the tour, you’ll be taken back to your hotel.

Overnight in Quito.

Day 8 - Private Transfer Hotel / Quito airport / Galapagos Islands

This morning, you’ll be transferred to Quito’s airport to board your flight to the Galapagos Islands!

Once you arrive in Baltra Airport, one of our representatives will take you across the Itabaca Channel for you to board our shared transfer. From here, you’ll be taken to Los Gemelos crater in Santa Cruz Island’s Highlands so you can get the first glimpse of Galapagos’ impressive volcanic setting. Afterwards, you’ll get to visit a Galapagos Giant Tortoise Sanctuary where you’ll enjoy a tasty lunch and get to spend some time with these majestic animals.

Once you’ve enjoyed your time in the highlands, you’ll be transferred to the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel. Once there, you’ll get settled in, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, and enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel.

Days 9, 10, 11: Finch Bay Excursions

Throughout these days at the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel, you’ll be able to enjoy 2 of the following full-day Yacht Exploration Options below:

  • Santa Fe Island

And the following full-day Land Exploration Option:

Day 12 – Transfer to Airport / Arrive in Quito

After a tasty breakfast, say goodbye to the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel. Hop on your shared transfer to the airport, from which you’ll take a flight back to the mainland.

Divine Bay and the Charles Darwin Research Station

Divine Bay is an oasis of tranquility that is replete with fantastic species. The Bay itself is naturally protected from the waves thanks to the presence of volcanic rocks, mangroves, and cliffs that manage to serve as a breakwater. This beautiful place is also home to herons, Galapagos pelicans, blue-footed boobies, sea turtles, and much more! Lay back, enjoy the scene from the beach or explore its underwater wonders by going snorkeling.

After Divine Bay, we’ll head to the Charles Darwin Research Station, which also serves as the central headquarters of the Galapagos National Park. The Station sits right on the outskirts of Puerto Ayora, allowing visitors to check out the ongoing conservation projects and learn about the Tortoise Breeding Center.

North Seymour

Experience a live biology lesson with land and marine iguanas, Nazca- and blue-footed boobies, frigates, sea lions and fur seals.

Santa Fe

Walk along rocky terrain to find the island’s highlight: the endemic Santa Fe land iguana, patiently waiting under the enormous and giant cacti for falling fruits and pads.

Bartolome

Here, you will get to enjoy one of the Galapagos’ most famous views: the tilted Pinnacle Rock, the golden beach of Bartolome, and the impressive lava fields of Santiago Island.

South Plaza

Admire the vast volume of dozens of frolicking sea lion pups, patrolling alpha male sea lions, basking marine and land iguanas, stunning red crabs, and various Darwin finches.
