Day by Day

Day 1: Arrive in Bogota / Transfer to Hotel

Welcome to Bogota, Colombia! At the El Dorado International Airport, you will be greeted by a member of our team who will assist you with your luggage and transfer to Sofitel Victoria Regia Hotel. Upon arriving to the hotel, our team member will help you with checking-in and will present you with your detailed itinerary containing all the services that are included throughout the following days.

Day 2: Bogota City Tour

On this day, we’ll visit the Paloquemao Market Plaza, a wonderful spot that will invite us to learn about the life and customs of the local bogotanos, all as we sample fresh, exotic fruit.

Afterward, we’ll head to La Candelaria, which is the historic center of the city. During our tour of this part of the city, we’ll get to examine some of the most important structures in Bogota that are teeming with history and remarkable architecture.

Up next, we’ll visit Monserrate Hill, from which we’ll get to admire wonderful views of the city. At lunchtime, you’ll get a perfect taste of delicious, traditional Colombian food. Following that, we’ll visit the Gold Museum and the Botero Museum.

At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred back to Sofitel Bogota Victoria Regia Hotel. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 3: Zipaquira Tour

Today begins with a panoramic city view of the city of Bogota as we head on our way to Zipaquira. Once we get there, we’ll head underground to experience the extraordinary Salt Cathedral, impressively carved out of an active salt mine that formed some 250 million years ago.

Following that, we’ll enjoy a walk through the town of Zipaquira itself, where you’ll get to admire its beautiful architecture. Lunch will be served at a typical restaurant where you’ll get to enjoy delicious Colombian fare.

At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred back to Sofitel Bogota Victoria Regia Hotel. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 4: Transfer to Airport / Arrive in Cartagena / Transfer to Hotel

On this day you’ll be transferred to the airport to catch your flight to Cartagena. Once you arrive in Cartagena, a member of our team will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to the Charleston Santa Teresa Hotel. Overnight in Cartagena.

Day 5: Cartagena Tour

On this morning, we’ll visit La Popa Monastery, located up on the highest mountain in the whole city. Once there, we’ll get to enjoy one of the best views in Cartagena before visiting the San Felipe de Barajas Castle.

This castle was regarded as one of the strongest forts ever built for a Spanish colony. Afterward, we’ll head to Las Bovedas – a former ammunition depot that now functions as a marketplace for artisanal, jewelry, and antique shops. At the end of this part of the tour, we’ll enjoy a lovely walk through the historic center of Cartagena. During this last activity, you’ll get to soak in the cultural and architectural beauty of the city!

At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred back to the Charleston Santa Teresa Hotel. Overnight in Cartagena.

Day 6: Day at Leisure in Cartagena

On this day, you’ll be free to relax and spend it at your leisure. So take advantage of the time to relax, go shopping, and/or enjoy the pleasant coastal vibes of Cartagena!

Day 7: Transfer to Airport / Farewell!

On this day, we’ll pick you up at the Charleston Santa Teresa Hotel and transfer you to the airport so that you can board your flight back home. Our team member will assist you with this process.
